    Godly Sorrow

    When I first became convicted of my sin, I felt like David did in Psalm 38. In my heart, I confessed to God that I was a sinner, guilty as charged. I was saved by Godโ€™s amazing grace, who took my place and died for my sins on Calvaryโ€™s cross. I knew I was not deserving of such a great love and sacrifice as this. I believed in Jesus and thanked Him, like David, for delivering me from sin. I thank God daily for salvation and ask Him to forgive me, with godly sorrow.

  • Virginia is for Lovers

    Ironically, it was the couple with the surname Loving who helped to make interracial marriage legal in Virginia. Loving v. Virginia is a landmark, historic case. Richard and Mildred, in the 1950s, challenged the state’s law forbidding black and white individuals from marrying. Their civil rights fight lasted several years, but culminated in their success.

  • The Lucky Penny

    At the age of accountability, she awoke to find a penny in her palm. This must be my lucky day, she thought, smiling at the shiny coin. She put the penny in her pocket and carried it with her from morning to night. At breakfast, when her mother gave her French toast with butter and maple syrup, she rubbed her lucky penny. When her teacher announced the test was postponed until next week, she sighed with relief and whispered to the penny, โ€œLucky for me.โ€

    Clearly A.I. is having a tremendous impact on individual lives in our economy. This is something I hope we all continue to question as we adjust to the potential innovations as well as the threat of AI.
