First Canoe: A verbal “home video” of two sisters in a boat.
This is a special thanks to the Baber Family! This family has eight children, who all got together to enjoy a family coloring experience with the second edition of my book, Today and Forever: A Narrative Coloring Book! I was so excited to hear of all the fun the siblings had learning about the story of the tree and how the tree went through all four seasons, having good days and bad days. But through it all, there is hope, endurance and resilience.
Once again, the fabulous young writer, Elizabeth Baber, is gracing my blog’s page with a thoughtful and personal piece of encouragement for young writers.
As we celebrate World Storytelling Day, I am proud to share again the talented and creative work of the young author, Elizabeth Baber. Her story, Listen and Remember, will make you feel like you are being warmed by a cozy fire, and listening to an ancient soul sharing wisdom and knowledge for you and for you to pass on.
I hope you enjoy this story, and share it with others! And please share with me stories that are meaningful to you. I’m here to listen.
Elizabeth Barret Browning is my favorite poet. If you would like to learn more about her, I suggest you read her book, Sonnets of the Portuguese. In this book, there are many other sonnets that will capture the essence of the love story between her, and her famous poet husband, Robert Browning. You will also learn more about the interesting way they met; first through written correspondence, then through personal visits in her home, where she was described as “somewhat of an invalid.” With many difficulties to her health, yet she and Robert Browning fell in love. Then she went on to write both marvelous and intimate work, supporting and encouraging each other in their life’s time together.
Join me in welcoming Elizabeth Baber as my new virtual assistant! With her outstanding communication and writing skills and her administrative expertise, Elizabeth is a valuable addition to my production team. Elizabeth has already hit the ground running as my first guest writer for my blog, “Love is Accessible”. I know you will enjoy her interviews with two dynamic women physicians. I am excited to be working with Elizabeth and look forward to our future projects together.
