Michaun Harrison – A Story of Strength and Service

Voices of Vision – Michaun Harrison: A story of strength and service
In honor of Veterans Day, Voices of Vision honors Michaun Harrison, U.S. Army veteran and National Administrative Coordinator for the Blinded Veterans Association. Michaun shares her powerful story of military service, vision loss caused by a service-related condition, and resilience.
In this heartfelt conversation, Michaun speaks about her years as a Respiratory Therapist and Instructor in the Army, life after the military, how she found community within the Blinded Veterans Association and ACBVA, and her ongoing advocacy for blind and low-vision veterans.
She offers a message of hope for others adapting to vision loss: “Take one day at a time. Advocate for yourself and surround yourself with people who understand.”
