Happy International Charity Day! Thank you to everyone who is committed to serving communities all around the world. You make a difference!

Charity Begins With You

In these times of economic uncertainties, one’s first response to the topic of charitable giving might be, “I can’t afford that.” Of course, that is a rational response if you think of giving primarily as monetary. I encourage you to broaden your point of view and know that you, yourself, are the most valuable gift you can give to an organization. Your unique contribution as an individual is priceless. Charity begins with you.

Your Passion

When you develop a heartfelt desire to make a difference, you bring an intense, emotional and meaningful commitment to a cause. Your zeal propels you to unite with others and leads to positive change.

Your Talents

Your life experiences have helped you develop an amazing array of personal and professional skills and abilities. You bring all these talents to the table in organizations who need people to serve in all areas. From planning programs and events, fundraising, advocacy, communications to training, there is an area for you to get involved and lend a helping hand.

Your Input

As organizations face reductions in funding and a quickly changing technological landscape, they need people with diverse ideas and perspectives. As a new member, you can bring fresh and innovative solutions and strategies to issues. Our survival literally depends on finding ways to adapt and evolve, becoming more efficient and effective . Of course, funds are needed and any amount of monetary support is greatly appreciated. But you are valued even more. Continue giving your passion, creativity and resources to charities around the world. We need you.
