I inspire you to ignite the flames of determination and self-belief, embrace challenges, cultivate resilience, and transform setbacks into stepping stones toward success to realize your full potential.
Debra Hill is an independent inspirational singer, songwriter, and playwright. At age 12, she began singing gospel in her hometown Chicago church. As a blind performer, she adds a personal story of God’s faithfulness. Her life exemplifies that Christ’s power will work to lift all regardless of circumstances.

While living in a world without sight, the art of storytelling proves that imagination knows no bounds. Every word, every sentence is an invitation to explore the endless possibilities of the human mind.
As a blind artist, Debra Hill is an inspirational singer, motivational speaker, author and writer. Her first album, “Daily Reverence,” was launched in 2018. Since then, Debra has produced several hit singles such as “Celebrate My Birthday” and “Tell Me Your Testimony.”
In her blog, “Love is Accessible,“ she focuses on resources and helpful information for blind and low-vision persons as well as current news trends.Debra recently appeared on the Virginia Voice radio broadcast show, “Shards of Light,” and regularly engages in community outreach. Additionally, as a board member of the American Council of the Blind of Virginia (ACBVA), she founded a new summer initiative, “How We Do It: Accessible Reading Resources for the Blind and Low Vision.”
Moreover, Debra is the keynote speaker for Positive Advancement, LLC’s 2025 event titled “Welcome to Commitment to Self, ‘I Do!’ – Women’s Empowerment Conference.” Debra shares her personal story of God’s faithfulness and wants everyone to know that Christ has the power to lift you out of all trying circumstances.
Debra Hill has a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Virginia and two postgraduate Masters degrees from both Virginia Commonwealth University and George Washington University. She resides in Virginia with her long-time husband and has two lovely daughters.
